Govneror Declares "Iowa Division of Banking Day" on Agency's 100th Anniversary

In honor of the 100th Anniversary of the Iowa Division of Banking, Governor Terry Branstad declared it Iowa Division of Banking Day at the Annual Day with the Superintendent event on Thursday. Shown above are the current Superintendent Ron Hansen (at the podium), with former Superintendents [L-R] Jim Schipper (2011-2015), Tom Gronstal (2002-2011), Mick Guttau (1995-1999) and William Bernau (1986-1987).

Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds gave a State of the State address, and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey reported on Iowa Agriculture. Conference of State Bank Supervisors' Director of Legislative Policy Nathan Ross gave insights from Washington DC, and a report on the economy was delivered by Randolph Westlund, CFA, Executive VP and CIO for Quad City Bank and Trust. SBS Cybersecurity Founder Kevin Streff also gave a presentation on building banks' cybersecurity programs. Superintendent Ron Hansen closed the event with a recap of the current state of banking in Iowa.
