Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund - Support Community Bankers in Texas
As Hurricane Harvey rages through the Gulf region, our thoughts and prayers are with the communities and families affected by the disaster. It will take a significant amount of both time and resources to properly assess and recover from the full extent of the immediate and long-term damage to these areas.
To that end, community bankers across the nation are reaching out to assist those devastated and displaced by Hurricane Harvey and its after-effects. CBI’s sister association the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), the Texas Bankers Association (TBA) and the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending have banded together to establish the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund through the Texas Bankers Foundation, to help those banking families directly impacted. IBAT and TBA will absorb all credit card processing fees, so 100% of your donations will go directly to the Fund for maximum impact.
The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and the American Bankers Association (ABA) have also launched their Hurricane Harvey Community Bank Relief Fund in partnership with MainStreet Bank in Fairfax, VA. Through this Aircharity portal, MainStreet Bank will also cover service charges to ensure that 100% of donated proceeds support the relief effort.
