CBI Poster Contest CANCELLED

Money Smart Week Poster Contest CANCELLED

Due to the COVID-19 situation, The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago has cancelled the 2020 Money Smart Week campaign scheduled for April 4-11, 2020. By their decision, authority and request, all Money Smart Week events, advertising and related efforts including CBI's Poster Contest must be cancelled as well.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is announcing this decision now to provide the Money Smart community with ample time to adjust schedules. CBI understands their decision on this matter, but would like to convey our regrets to all of you currently running your contests.

April is still national Financial Literacy Month, as well as Community Banking Month in Iowa. As such, CBI does not have any information on what events or activities may be allowable as far as the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's mandate requires. It is assumed that the only restriction to your bank's planned Community Banking Month activities is that they may not be marketed as or associated with Money Smart Week.

CBI will cease all 2020 Money Smart and Poster Contest activities, and will no longer be collecting posters. Any posters sent to the CBI office will be discarded. The Poster Contest will be back for 2021.
